ESCAPE GOAT 2: a superb puzzler with a great soundtrack, even better than its predecessor

SUPER TIME FORCE ULTRA: a retro 16-bit sidescroller jump n run shooter with fun as hell time-altering mechanics

MOUSECRAFT: fantastic puzzler, a mix of tetris and lemmings.

Well I don't play many Indie games so the list I have to draw from is limited but I did play it most recently. I like it because I find it a pretty relaxing game and it's fun to build things much the same way as legos are.

SpeedRunner: Great fun to play with friends.

i thought you only list it just because of my recent minecraft poll ;-P

...for my part i had fun with it, but i dont have all the time to focus on building damn pixel-blocks into something useful so i was done with the game pretty soon, i probably give it another try some day later, to be honest this will be my 3rd try then, the first time i tried it i deleted the game after playing it for half an hour...i just couldnt get into it, then after all the constant buzz around it i thought "shit they all freak out over it and enjoy it so much..why cant i get into it as well ?" so i tried it again and realized i had more fun with it but after a few hours that was it again

Well I won't deny it was a funny coincedence to seeing this thread after your recent minecraft poll. :P

It's one of those games that get me hooked mostly for the reward factor in the mining. I'll keep wondering if I'm getting close to finding more diamonds or emeralds. I'll tell myself just a little bit more and then before I know it hours have. It can be pretty addicting in that regard.

well the minecraft poll made me think of indie games in general and that i may not enjoy minecraft as much as other people but there are other indie games i have more fun with than certain AAA titles, that lead me to start up this thread now

<<<Castle Crashers>>>

Gameplay is just pure fun.

Artwork is nice and oldschoolish looking.

Music/Sound is brilliant and drags you right into the game.

Level design has lots of variety and makes you allways wanna continue to open up the next one.

Co-op up to 4 players is allways a pluss, not as fun to play by yourself though.

Castle Crashers has that oldschool nostalgic apeal to it and really brings out the joy and laughter you experienced when you played videogames as a kid.

Judging this game as a indie game i would give this game 9/10

yeah i read about that, must try that one as well, and thats the problem with indie games today....there are way too many released in such a short time that its hard to keep up with all the good releases, the good thing again is you mostly dont need 40 hours to play one through so its easier to actually finish a few, especially if you constantly start more games than you actually can finish

Probably Minecraft was the indie game i liked the most. but i only played it a few days right when i got it, then i got bored... i haven't been able to get back into it. Hopefully i can get that feeling to get into it again, it was fun digging for stuff and making mines and connecting them to buildings i made.

i hated the interface in the game and how you couldn't make anything unless you looked up recipes on the internet to find out how... its really annoying that way

of course i expected trolling with archangel´s reply

the first thing i thought when i read archangel´s reply "minecraft" i thought "OH DAMN YOU LITTLE FUCKER I KNEW YOU WILL COME UP WITH THAT NOW!"

so well then i was asking "why?" and wasnt expecting an honest answer, i just waited for "i like and play minecraft because you dont like it" or something like that hehehehe :-P

besides indie games i actually talk about games generally either not so well known as typical AAA titles with all their commercial-campaigns and/or having a smaller budget, SAINTS ROW is really not a game being built upon a small budget, so saints row should not be included here

Saints Row isn't technically an AAA game, but i digress.

Journey, Walking dead, Wolf Among Us, Puppeteer, Bleach Soul Resurrecion, Dragonball Z Budokai 3, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, Trials Evolution and Ranbow Moon

did anyone in here ever figured out those goddamn anti-cube riddles on his own ?

the game is great but the idea of how to get to the anti cubes, with solving those riddles, is way too much, i dont wanna plan on playing the game for 100s of hours just to figure out those puzzles one day..hopefuly

Year 0 Tactics, A turn based post -apocalyptic war game where you build a base and raid eachother gathering resources used to fund upgrades and troops. This online game is exciting and fun, and very challenging. I recommend you give it a go. +The fact its made by a local games developer in Nottingham is kind of cool..

I play Falling Skies and good take on the next Xcom while fixing a few tactical problems with it but I would say that is too high for it since it is an AA game.

Other than Minecraft, most indie games make me go meh and look for a AA or AAA game out there.

Just finished dust last weekend, super fun game.

Concursion is this awesome genre mix up game that anyone even remotely into old school games should play.

Currently playing super panda adventures, which is a surprisingly fun Metroid vania style game where you play as an adorable panda with a sword.

I could list tons of awesome indies that I have loved, but these are my most recent.

i wasnt edgy i was plain sarcasmic for the sake of people constantly trying to bash whole genres only because they personally just dont like it

i actually love DMC and every clone of it, id play gayonetta as well but my parents said i am way too old for a WIIU

I play Journey every now and then... it's like listening to a beautiful soundtrack (which it is) while at the same time looking at art.
