What do you see as the greatest Legacy Console of all time?

I know I left some consoles off, if you like one that isn't on the list feel free to add it .

SNES is my favourite system.
The RPG's is what really did it for me. And of course, the 1st party stuff like Super Mario World. Zelda LTTP, and Super Metroid.

I got my SNES while going to school, and played it for the first few months on a 12" black and white TV. It still RULED. I can still hear the Top Gear music playing while the black and white graphics whizz by...

We saved up and bought a HUGE (19") Sony Trinitron TV. I couldn't believe how awsome Super Mario World looked. Can't beat cutting edge graphics.

NES by far. But my personal favorite is tied between PS1, SNES and PS2. Most underrated Console was the Dreamcast, it could've done awesome things if it had the chance.

SNES, the games just look so more perfected and polished.

Genesis and Atari 2600 are cool as well.

I want to say n64 because that was my favourite and i never got one(except last year i did!)

but it had few games, although greatest games in history

snes has a ton of games, many of the best games really entertaining, if u didnt have snes you are something

"rare" at that time i recall.

I voted for the Sega Genesis but it was Sega's Master System 8-bit that came out around the same time ( I believe) with the NES.Which was probably my favorite old school system------:D

Not enough people on this site have sat down and spent some quality time on the NES. Respect your roots! :)

My vote goes to the SNES. Sure the NES laid the foundation, but the SNES built the house of gaming we all play in now.

Super nintendo all the way. I played that game sytem until I was a pro. I went back and played some of the games I have and I suck but I still love the system. Greatest legacy system of all time.

I have to agree with the people who voted on this one; the Super Nintendo is the greatest Legacy System of all time.

The games for the SNES were great, and my favorite genre of video games is fighting/RPG so the Super Nintendo had many games I played over and over.
