sorry pal i think you'll struggle getting it anywhere near playable on that system, maybe on very low settings. it's been on sale on steam for the past few weeks. my advice is wait for the next sale, pick it up for dirt cheap, then if it doesn't run you've only lost a few quid

read it back, it's funny.

anyway go buy it if you think you'll be ok pal, all i can say is that back in 08 i had issues running it smoothly on low to medium settings with a q6600 and an 8800gtx ultra, which is a far better system than the one you have. gta iv is known as one of the worst pc ports in history (google it) for a reason - it takes a hefty rig to run it. you've been warned ;)

A dual core is not enough for the game. And why do you have a Quadro? It's not made for gaming.

What? The game runs fine in my old pc without that much of a problem. Though I kept the settings at mid-high.

Really? Every time I saw the game running on a dual core it was a disaster. What was your res and fps?

Far from perfect. That's pretty much unplayable.

Well i ran it on 768p and 60 fps with occasional frame drops. Though I updated the game to the latest patch. Also played it on windows xp.

Lucky you, then. :P

The game certainly acted randomly before all the patches. Back when it came out I had a Q6600 and it ran perfectly, but then I upgraded from Vista to 7 and the game was nearly unplayable.
