Fire Emblem announced

The new Fire Emblem has been announced for the 3DS, there is no current release window for this game. We will see some old characters from the earlier games though

While I am looking forward to this new Fire Emblem game I was hoping more for a Wii U version next. Hopefully we'll get one soon.

Awakening was my 2013 goty and the GOAT of the series. Can't wait!

Fire Emblem is one of the best turn-based strategy franchises available. I am interested, but as has been said, a Wii U version would be well-received. A 3DS/Wii U release like the newest Super Smash Bros. is something I would consider.

It'd be great to see how they improve the series after all of the improvements in Awakening.

Also, if this sells well...I could see them making a WiiU FE game by the end of this gen. Even if they just do a remake/update of one of the older games, it'd be worth buying.

@Archangel3371: WiiU install base is too small, and Awakening did so well on 3ds, that there is no good financial reason to put it on Wii U, unfortunately.

I like the fact that it looks very similar to Awakening. I'm wondering if it will have casual mode as well as a character creator.
