It seems it's not that much done. Let's hope it doesn't take 7 years to finish it

Well hopefully it turns out well. That latest gameplay trailer looked great.
it did, but they better not delay it any further, we have waited so long now. Why release a demo if it's years away
Fifty-five percent is not bad considering the amount of time since Square-Enix had finally started focusing on its development.
it's still taken a lot of time just to get here
I'm really hoping that the game will launch around this time next year.
I think it's a 2016 release at the earliest

It is not Call of Duty. That much is for sure.

It never has been, the games have been there for over 20 years and COD has done more games than them in the last 10 years and almost in total in the main series. I don't see games like Tactics or spin off games as FF games. Because they are indeed just spin offs

The world Final Fantasy Tactics transpires in is the same one that Final Fantasy XII does. It has relevance.
Anyway, what I was saying was Final Fantasy is not a system which receives minor improvements over each iteration. There is a great variety between Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, and X. Plus, there is Tactics. Final Fantasy XIII is a totally different game as well.
Call of Duty is different in that sense. No one should expect a yearly role-playing game releases. I am not arguing against the length of development time being eight years long is untimely. However, Square-Enix can make it work. I am simply going to do without negative hype unless it is related to what they are making now.
