It seems that most shooters allow you to use inverted controls on the right analog stick. So if you press up on the analog stick, it makes you aim lower and if you press down on the analog stick, it goes up. I was wondering what you fine people do when you play a shooter. Do you use inverted controls or not?

I play inverted Y axis. I remember going back and forth depending on game (largely due to lack of options back in the day). It wasn't until I read a comment in a Playstation Magazine something along the lines of "There is an option to invert aiming for those Pro players" and it made me think that inverted controls were more professional, so I chose inverted controls since.

Yes, inverted Y. I don't know what is wrong with my brain or when I became like this.

@pyro1245: Inverted Y makes sense because it's like you're controlling a physical camera in front of you, and it's also like flight controls.

Haha yeah I know. It's such a pain when I try to play games locally with other people where we pass the controller back and forth. Always having to go into the options and switch. I don't want to put in the effort to adjust my neural pathways tho.
