Can't Master Racers Be Gamers?

It's not rare I get sworn at by angry PC elitists pretty much shouting (Through the internet's way of shouting) at me for playing on my platform of choice. I'm all for playing games on every platform but when you're being verbally abused by a certain group it annoys me to no end.

"PC is superior in every way so you should get a PC you f*cking console peasant". And all that just for saying I want to play on my PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo.

Console wars are bad but I truly feel the PC Elitists are the worst gaming has to offer. They're not friendly at all.

A lot of the time the word "peasant" is used in jest. Probably not in your example, but for the most part it's a running joke. I find it kind of old and beaten to death but apparently some people get a chuckle out of it and it makes fanboys angry so that's why people use it.

If you look at fanboys of any kind, you will find them all equally disgusting honestly. It's not just PC elitists or Playstation fanboys, etc. They're all horrible people.

I know some use it for humors sake, but quite a lot seem to view it in a serious manner.

It's gotten to the point I'd rather not tell anyone what platform I play most of my games on due to unneeded hate.

Money is an issue for me, I will admit. Being a student I don't have that steady an income unlike more mature PC gamers. And I don't have parents that'll give me money for a PC like the teenage PC gamers.

If I had the money I'd probably invest but even then I'd probably feel more comfortable on another platform.

Only scenario I've heard a hermit say "then get a PC" is when some jack ass was mumbling about "Uncharted Graphics King" nonsense, seriously, if graphics is what matters the most "then get a PC". Some PC Elitists may be rude but then again some consol elitists may be ignorant.

You just don't get it man. Naughty Dog is comprised of god-like men that are capable of astounding miracles of technology that no company in the world can possibly rival.

Avoid System Wars and don't post during the wee hours of the night, that's when the PC gamers come out.

Was playing that last night and theres quite a few burry textures, usually on the floor and walls, the type of thing you notice accidentally when joel or the camera gets to close to a wall, they were fine in cutscenes though. Same with Crysis 3.

If you wana see some reall hardcore pixel porn the Try Beyond Two Souls, some of the finest lighting and textures I've ever seen on console. Its almost as good as the Pre Rendered crap I'm talking Final Fantasy level of pre rendering in real time.!

@iamllamapie: Just enjoy what you do and don't let anyone tell you you're unable to have a good time because you don't own a baller computer. PC gaming is great, but so is everything else. So game on!

I just wish companies wouldn't make deals with each other to provide exclusives because then i just have to buy all the things XD

All systems are great. Only ignorant people buy a system soly because of the graphics. I have both a gaming rig and all three last gen conosles. Each brings a unquie set of exclusive content that is worth having.

Anyone who is a fanboy of a system is automatically not a real gamer because they care more about the name on the side of the box than they do about the actual games.

Fact is, console gamers are peasants. But many pc gamers have consoles also just to slum it sometimes... to see how the little people live. Its fun sometimes.

Lol . This game is not even 1080p . It can't even qualify for best GFX .

The Witcher 2 on PC (3 years old game look better than PS4 and XBONE games)

And Yes every piece of foliage moves with wind . So when you play the game it looks even more awesome .

glad you realized that hahah. ya its very dumb how people do argue over games... but people like to argue about anything.

I have a high end PC but I also use my PS2 and PS3 when I feel like it. However if I can choose between playing a game on my PS3 vs my PC the choice is easy, I will choose the PC and max out everything and use my 360 gamepad. I believe everyone else in my shoes would do the same. That is not elitism or fanboyism, just the honest opinion of someone who is not tied to a platform.

Spend some time on the System Wars forum. You will quickly see that the PC race is not alone in being unfriendly.

I went there once. The amount of ignorance, hate and disrespect was too much to handle.

I think the reason we see so many "PC Elitists" is because they are on the computer already while console gamers are too busy playing the actual game. Who cares what it's played on as long as you can enjoy it.

And then after they finished their game they go online to argue with another platform.
