For some reason, this list for 35 boring games was on aol news. I thought it would be fun to see how many of these games on this list that you have played before or that you like on this list. All of these are from legacy systems I believe.

Here is the link

http://www.urlesque.com/2010/07/29/boring-video-games?icid=main|htmlws-main-tarana|dl5|link3|http%3A%2F%2Fwww.urlesque.com%2F2010%2F07%2F29%2Fboring-video-games

I've only played 3 games on this list. How 'bout you?

I've played harvest moon (i have it for the vc) not one of my favorites, but many people seem to like it, so i doubt it's that bad, and I've also played Yoshi's cookie, which isn't bad at all =)

I've played both 'Anticipation' & 'Concentration' on the NES. Game shows on the NES are always extremely boring, and these two are no different.

The only other game on that list that I've played (and still own) is 'Panic Restaurant'. It's a side-scrolling platformer that came out at the end of the NES's life. It's a decent game, nothing spectacular, but not horrible.

Played:

Anticipation

Color a Dinosaur

Harvest Moon

Yoshi's Cookie

Pictionary

The author seems to have a thing against religious games.

Yoshi's Cookie? HARVEST MOON?! What in blazes is Harvest Moon doing on there? Yoshi's Cookie was a fun little puzzle game, I enjoyed every minute of it. But Harvest Moon? Shame. Big shame. I could play that for hours. I also played Bible Adventures and Bible Buffet, Buffet wasn't so bad, I liked it. Didn't really have much to do with the bible xD If anything it's promoting gluttony, which is a sin, which I thought was kind of amusing. Anticipation was okay too, but I'm still shocked to see HM on there.

Bible Adventures isn't boring at all. It's an unholy hell fest of terrible controls and strange games.

Yoshi's Cookie isn't too teribly boring. It's like Tetris, but not.

Wallstreet Kid is terrible. I can never seem to get the cool million to get my house. Seriously, I've never done it!

That's all I've played I guess.

I've played Math Blaster (as well as Reading Blaster), Sim Ant, and Yoshi's Cookie. Yoshi's Cookie was your basic puzzle game, it wasn't as fun as Tetris or Dr. Mario, but it wasn't bad either. It really doesn't belong on this list.

5, though they were all great games. Ok, so basic math isn't all that fun. But for a key demographic of 3 to 7, in which I was back then, it's a lot more fun than school. I enjoyed learning on that very much.

I remember when I was in elementary school, I'd be so excited when we went to the computer lab, so that we could play math blaster. Also Mickey's Adventure in number land was cool. From what I remember.

Quite the load of crap, though I would disagree with Harvest Moon being lumped in there. Also nothing wrong with Chess Master if you're looking to improve your game.

I've played Yoshi's Cookie and Harvest Moon, didn't think they were boring.

For anyone who disagress the writer obviously never played any of these games, just read the quote below.

"However, some creators clearly didn't get the memo when they made these really, reallyboring sounding video games".

Game about farming and the cookies certainly do sound boring.

Oh God, I forgot about Golf Resort Tycoon! That was pretty dang bad.

I've also played Yoshi's Cookie and Donkey Kong Jr. Math. Yoshi's all right - it's way too easy, but still pretty well-made. DK Jr. Math is indeed dismal, however, though it's not quite as bad as its reputation would suggest.

Out of that bunch I've only tried SimAnt and 3D Tic-Tac-Toe and they were pretty dreadful.

The list is pretty dreadful too though - you could probably add 15% of any game system's library to that list.

Deciding on a game based on it's cover is a poor judging method.

Black Bass is an entertaining game for fishing fans, and Bible Adventures is the same for individuals interested in the subject matter. Math Blaster was an AMAZING game that I loved as a child, chessmaster is good for those who are really into chess, and harvest moon is a very good game. Not to mention that Yoshi's Cookie was a very popular and very well enjoyed game for puzzle fans,

My point? The author did nail it for a few games, but the majority of them are games for niche groups, and thus would be boring to non-gamers or even gamers not interested in the genre. He/She is entitled to their opinion, but it is nearly meaningless as the author obviously shows bias against various types of games showing that it's not necessarily boring (objectively speaking), but rather boring to him/her ... Still some really, really boring games on there.

I played Math Blaster In Search of Spot on my PC back when I was 6-years-old, and I thought it was a great game. Then again, I did enjoy playing a lot of educational games like those from the JumpStart franchise.

I've only played Harvest Moon. But oddly enough, there are one or two games there on the list that I'd give a try:D Tax Avoiders? SimANT colony? Wall Street Kid especially! That cheesy cover was great.

I have played...none of those games, haven't even heard of most of them though I find it amuzing so many of them were religious and early-learning games.
