I've been playing a whole bunch of Dreamcast games this week.

Finally, games like Virtua Tennis 2 arrived in the post, so I've been playing that. Virtua Fighter 3TB has been taking up my time. I've also started to play DOA: Ultimate again, because I plan to review it. I've also taken my time to redo some of my older reviews on GS and I've been making various Tags and Banners for people. Multiplayer wise, I've been playing online on Half-life 2 mods like Jailbreak and Zombie Panic with my good friends on GS.

Overall, this week has been pretty good. I might go back to playing Slave Zero now.

loopy_101

Virtua Tennis and VT2 are still the best tennis games around (though Top Spin gave it a good run for it's money with an excellent career mode).

Started Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete for the PSX a few hours ago. Hopefully, I'll be able to knock this one out. Had it around a year now, and have heard good things about it, so yeah. Will keep you guys updated.Mamba219

UPDATE: So far I'm really enjoying it, especially the Nash/Nall banter. According to the game, I'm a little over 4 hours in, which sounds about right. Just left Ramus behind in Meribia and am about to journey with Nash to Vane...I'm really enjoying the tone of this game. If you're not cheap and like RPGs, this would probably be a good buy.

On a related note, who mentioned not having the Lunar guide when they bought the collector's edition?

Having received my monthly box of games, I have spent about 2 hours with the new Square Enix IP, The World Ends With You. It's a lot like Draglade meets the style sensibilities of Jet Set Radio. So far, i am enjoying it.

Spent the last two days picking off 150 of the 200 pigeons necessary for 100% completion in GTA IV. This is worse than the hidden package fetch quests in the old GTAs for a couple reasons...

-My damn "friends" won't leave me alone long enough to get any of this done! Every thirty seconds someone calls me wanting to go bowling, or play darts, or go eat, or go to the gentlemen's club, etc., ad nauseum. I turn them down only every other time because I want to keep their special abilities unlocked... it's very intrusive upon my pigeon huntin'!

-Because you have to shoot said pigeons instead of just pick them up, you spend a significant amount of time running away from wanted levels. While the thirty seconds to a minute doesn't seem like much at the time, when you do it at least 60% of the time, that turns into around two hours of just running around trying to shake the cops.

Other than that, I'm still messing around with Madden NFL '06. Should finish that pretty soon after I get my 100% in GTA IV.

Lots of gaming this week, my parents have gone off to Slovenia so I can hang about their house playing games without feeling guilty about doing so instead of finding my own place/getting a real job/being a mature adult...

Whumped Dark Messiah and started Knights of the Old Republic II, since it occured to me that although I love the first game and have finished it many times, I've never really given the sequel the attention it deserves. Of course: me so Dark Side

Still working on Grandia, got a couple of hours in this week.

And I'm on to the third disc in Lost Odyssey. It's all very good, and it's epic in a way, but it doesn't seem like it's long enough to warrant four discs...

...also: DAMN MONKEYS!!!

Bouncing back and forth between Mystic Defender on Genesis, a game that I never beat when I was a kid, and Diablo 2 LOD and the Witcher on the PC. I had to buy a new video card to play Witcher at all (I've got nothing faster than an AGP slot) and I have to play it on gimped settings, which sucks, but now is not the time for a complete PC overhaul, so I'm making it work.

Got some tips for Beautiful Katamari from a friend, so I played that a little. Also played 1 game of Madden 06, a few Sudoku puzzles on Buku Sudoku, a couple races on Gripshift, and my GTA IV progress is now at 65% complete.

Bionicle Heroes (X360) was fully completed to bring me within striking distance of 32,000 points. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (X360) should put me over that mark by a decent margin. I'd like to say that Bionicle desereved better than the 5 that GameSpot bestowed upon it. I'd put it closer to a 7 like IGN did. I'm still working on Ninja Gaiden DS too.

Just a question, but do you ever play anything that wasn't really recently released? Reason being is that I've noticed you always seem to be on top of the brand new releases and playing them, but never something released in, say, 2004.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is my focus. I have gotten to Chapter 5 and am still absolutely loving it. Not extremely tough yet, but it has had it's moments of frustration...

I beat Raiders of the Lost Arc for Lego Indy and hope to finish Temple of Doom co-op later this week.

I also started Incredible Hulk. It's not bad for a movie based game. The amount of destruction is quite fun, but it's not that deep of a game. Still, I'd say it's at least worth a rental.

Part of that is peer pressure. I work at a game store. Most of my co-workers are always playing the latest stuff so I feel like I need to always be up on the latest stuff. I enjoy it, so it's not like I am forcing myself to play these. I guess the big thing is it's hard to go back to older gen stuff after getting use to the current gen.

I have a chance to get $200 off the MGS4 PS3 bundle, but still can't muster the energy to care.

I also beat Harry Potter. 880/1000 points achieved. Now all that's left is to collect a few things to fully complete the game.

Had an 1,100 point explosion yesterday, thanks to some goofy achievements in NBA 2K6 (see first half of my new blog entry for details), finishing GTA IV's single player story with 100% completion, and going back to nab the last achievement in Viva Pinata. At any rate, I crossed the 10,000 point threshold (however cheaply that might be).

Now, I'm going to finish maxing all the pinatas in Viva Pinata (romancing, variants, etc.), finish the last two achievements and 500 points in Madden NFL '06, and I'm going to start something else. I'm thinking Condemned: Criminal Origins or maybe Bioshock (or both!) but I haven't decided yet. Any suggestions?

The current gen, quite honestly, looks and plays no different to me than the last gen (or the gen before that, really), so it doesn't really matter to me I guess. I hop around generations while gaming quite often, anyway. Right now I'm playing a PS1 game, and I plan to pop in Earthbound after that...

I need to get back into my PS2 games. I have a ton of gems, and haven't touched them. The only one I've played reciently is Persona 3: Fez, and that's a new release.

I am about 70% through The World Ends With You, which is a good game. Very deep in terms of customization. As usual I have ambled aimlessly through it taking way too long.

I am 66% through Battle of the Bands, hoping to finish it this week so I can start on No More Heroes. I just read the "review" for it on this site, the first I have read in many many months, and I guess they now write them on the basis of the cover of the game rather than actualy popping them into a console.

Hey all. I just renewed my Gold XBL account, so anyone who wants to play a little GTAIV, I'm game! Also, I've been playing handheld goodness. I played a lot of Word Jong (DS), which is really good. I'm also in the last chapter of Apollo Justice, which I am really enjoying.

Apollo Justice, and that entire series in general, is just masterful. My favorite game series of all time, hands down.

Phoenix Wright on anything would be awesome, but yeah, I tend to agree. Wiimote could actually be pretty cool for a change with Phoenix at its side.

MGS4 is now mine, so I will probably at least install it and try to play some of it today before going out for the rest of the night. We'll see how that goes... I also snagged GRID and The World Ends With You, so I might be trying those out too.

This week, I've nearly finished KOTOR 2, I'm so dark...

And I'm up to about 56 hours in Lost Odyssey. I hit the point in the last disc where the whole world is open again and I'm a little overwhelmed with all the extra stuff to find and do. Since I'm determined not to use a walkthrough except for the backyard secret requirements (because they're so randomly obscure I'd never guess half of them), it may take a while. Don't think I'm gonna make that Treasure Trove achievement, that's just silly.

Only offline. GH3's big new feature was adding online play.

Starting to play GRID online, it's alright lags a bit, and some people don't understand the concept of braking around corners.

This week I fully completed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for 1,000 points and finally got back to Lego Star Wars: The Original Saga to get the 100% unlocked achievements which brought me up to 900 points in that. Rock Band, Club House Games for the DS and Ninja Gaiden DS are also continuing to keep me entertained.

I am working on rainbow 6 2 with a friend. I have never played a Tom Clancy game before but this is cool.

I started The World Ends With You because I was bored and needed something to play on a handheld. Very impressed so far. I'm also still tackling MGS4, GRID, Ninja Gaiden 2, Lego Indiana Jones and The Incredible Hulk. Man, my gaming plate is way too full...

My first update on this thread in a long while! More recently I have played finished Sega Superstars Tennis, Conan, SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1. I am still going slowly through P3 FES and have started MGS4 within the last 24 hours.

My Xbox 360 broke while I was playing DiRT, so now I started Odin Sphere on the PS2. Great game so far!

I'm starting that mystery game tonight. We'll see how far I get.
