[QUOTE="cosmostein77"]Boxing Day + Gifts:
Lips (X360) NEW
Fracture (X360) NEW $19.99
Far Cry 2 (X360) NEW $29.99
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (PS3) NEW $19.99
someNONSENSE
Those are some good prices. Where did you find those deals?
Best Buy,
Much to my surprise they had the best deals on Boxing day, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Gears of War were all 20 bucks new. Farcry 2, COD5, Resistence 2, and a bunch of new-ish stuff was basically 30 - 50% off.
Here are some unexpected deals that fell into my lap. Why does this always happen when I'm trying not to buy stuff?
Tom Clancy's EndWar (X360) - Special Edition with wireless headset - NEW - $50 - Best Buy had this on sale while the regular edition still sells for $60.
Call of Duty: World at War (X360) - Used - Complete - $25 - A coworker's 360 died so he was selling off his games.
Fable II (X360) - Used - Complete - $25 - From the same coworker.
He also let me have his broken 360 which is still under warranty. He was going to toss it in a recycling center rather than get it fixed for free.

That X360 is an awesome score...get that X360 fixed then sell it and fund some new purchases.
-Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (X360), used/complete, $35 or so from GameStop.
I also picked up the Guitar Hero: World Tour complete band set at retail to go along with the one-guitar version my wife got me for Christmas. So I have an extra sealed copy of the game...that's not a hint or anything (cough cough)...
... I've also been pretty sick lately...
Stranglehold (Collector's Edition) (X360) - new, £7.98

I just randomly decided I'm going to start picking up some of the nicer strategy guides around. At that price for new and sealed copies I can't really complain :P
Also, on a side note for any UK peeps around here, high-street entertainment retailer Zavvi is currently in administration (thanks to the whole Woolies downfall and subsequent 2Entertain supply problem). They've got some pretty good deals on DVDs and some games at the moment, but look out for some even better clearance offers in the near future.
From Christmas and beyond:
OMG LOOK!!! Its another TGL spotting :oPaully3433
I'm an endangered species, dontcha know :P
It would seem my wallet is also at risk...
from Amazon UK:

Forgot to mention this one...
-Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (Xbox), used/complete, $15 or so from eStarland.
Now all I need is BMX XXX and I've pretty much got the Xbox Smut World Tour complete.

I saw (and missed out on amazon's deal of the day that was CODWAW for $39), so maybe Activision is trying to move some copies before end of the financial year... Good deal though, even for the homeless.
Yagami-Iori I am totally coming over to your house and spending about a week in that room :PPaully3433
Yeah Yagami, that's pretty nice. I love those store displays.

Yeah, they are great to have. I was clued in by a manager around here that there is a Gamestop with a Gamecube kiosk close by (within an hour), so I'm going to see if they still have it and see if they'd be willing to get rid of it.

pikadeth
I have to get on that.

Okay, so I got on that, I'm 60 points toward getting the 800 points needed for the game and watch DS game. It;s only for Ninty games and some games don't count eh? Like Trace Memory? I also got no points for the 8 Ninty systems I registerd :(
All amazon, all new and sealed: (oh and all PSP).
hot pixel 49.99
rengoku 2 $12.99
sega superstars tennis $9.98

I hear ya man, me and the wife were pretty unhappy with the lack of points on even some Nintendo games. W've got a DS collec tion large enough to pretty much get us there (between all the systems and games), but the spotty registraion counts even on the Nintendo games is hurting the amount that the points go up.
I don't remember what I posted before Christmas and I'm too lazy to go look so there may be some stuff in this post that I've already posted about before.
Here's the damage from the holidays:
Infinited Undiscovery, X360, New/Sealed, $14
Syberia, Xbox, Used/Complete, $4
Too Human, X360, New/Sealed, $23
Yakuza, PS2, Used/Complete, $13
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, PSP, New/Sealed, $6
Universe at War: Earth Assault, PC, New/Sealed, $8
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, GBA, New/Sealed, $26
Spongebob Squarepant: Supersponge, PS1, Used/Complete, $4
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, PS1, Used/Complete, $4
Unreal Tournament 3, PS3, New/Sealed, $0 (gift)
Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, X360, New/Sealed, $0 (gift)
Eternal Poison, PS2, New/Sealed, $25
The Incredibles, Xbox, Used/Complete, $5
Ruff Trigger: The Vanocore Conspiracy, PS2, Used/Complete, $5
Spartan: Total Warrior, Xbox, Used/Complete, $13
Raze's Hell, Xbox, Used/Complete, $4
Tomb Raider: Chronicles, PS1, Used/Complete, $6
Sonic Adventure 2, DC, Used/Complete, $7
Assuming that I don't buy anything today, that would be the last of my 2008 additions.
Which would put my 2008 total acquisition number at: 192

I got 5 or 6 hundred coins, unfortunately 2 of my Wii games don't have the cards and that got me down quite a bit, after a post game survery I would have had enough granted I still wanted it. It'll be rare all right, but why only 3 games?I don't remember what I posted before Christmas and I'm too lazy to go look so there may be some stuff in this post that I've already posted about before.

Ruff Trigger is the only game in there I don't have that I want... (okay never mind turns out I have it). Enjoy Yakuza. Expect the load times and you'll enjoy it more.
I have an unopened copy of Tara's Adventure, but Cobi's is still on my want list. Nice pickups.I was wrong, on the way home today I found Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi's Journey and Tara's Adventure, both CIB in pristine condition. $8 each. And Valkyria Chronicles, I just had to have this.
So that's it for 2008

I'd like to pick both of those up at some point. They're pretty rare around these parts.
Anyway, yesterday I picked up a brace of FF DS games from the Zavvi clearout:
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates (DS) - new, £14.99
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift (DS) - new, £14.99
First games of 2009:
I'm starting off the New Year slowly:

I would never ever condone such actions, but you could probably get the codes for Nintendo games by going to GameStop and taking them from the display boxes that they have. That would be bad though. Bad = Wrong. It wasn't a concern for me since I tend to buy lots of Nintendo products. Wii games are worth about 50 coins and DS go for about 30 coins.Wii Fit will net you 90 coins. Wii Sports doesn't seem to get you anything and registering your console only gets you a warranty extension.
I made it 3 hours into the new year before I bought a game. LOL. Here's the damage.
Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (PS3) - NEW - Wal*Mart - $14.98 - They had lots of games in a clearance bin, but most of them were garbage NBA, NHL, NFL, and some horrible Gundam game.
Guitar Hero World Tour (X360) - New - Target - $77 - This seemed to be as cheap as this game the game is going to get for a while.
I also got a PS3 PS2 Memory Card Adapter for $5 from the clearance area at Wal*Mart. I don't see many of those around any more so it seemed worth picking up.
One last one from 2008...then the slowdown begins:
-Soulcalibur IV (X360), new/sealed, approximately $39 at Wal-Mart.
Since I technically work for the city that I live in, I get all the perks (if not the pay). This includes occasional random gift certificates, like the $25 one that I used for this.
My Gamefly package came in. This was all from a good sale they had after Christmas with free shipping. All used, but new game cases and booklets.
120 gb hard drive 360 - $20 after old HDD($40), and gift cards
Stuntman ignition - 360 - $10
Mario Super Sluggers - wii - $20

I picked up that DDR Mario outer box and dance pad that I mentioned having a lead on a few weeks back. The art on the box is torn on the back at the original circular tape seal b/c not everyone's as patient as I'd like, but it's in nice condition overall and the pad is still wrapped in plastic. I paid $30 for it. I was feeling a bit generous, perhaps.
