Changing Avatar in the comments section.

Hi guys.

Since 1 year ago I always tried to change my avatar on the comments section but It doesn't change at all, it does reflect on the forums though, nothing happens, is there a way to change it? or is it unfixable at this point?

The comments section is handled by livefyre rather than being an inhouse GS system, and I suspect there's a bug that is preventing the livefyre avatar from being updated/synced with the GS one - unfortunately such a bug could be caused by a large number of things, and not all of them are part of the GS-side of the system either. Ultimately, it's most likely a matter of waiting for the devs to get it fixed, though I doubt it's high priority.

The fix was posted long ago but they decided to unsticky it for some reason.

basically you just have to upload the avatar twice. It's worked for me on multiple occasions.

@davillain-: Yeah not working for me either anymore. Dunno what happened. Lifefyre's been really acting up on me lately though. Often the comment section doesn't even show up anymore even though my AdBlocker is turned off.

@alenth: If you'd like I could clear your avatar then you could try re-uploading your new one. This has worked for me in the past.

@davillain-: Done, sometimes it can take a few minutes to take affect.

...but it's not willing to work AT ALL. Cleared cookies, cache, logged out and then back in...nothing works really..

On the older website (a year and a half back) I probably deactivated/reactivated the profile which worked for me. Don't even remember if deactivation/reactivation was ever available but I remember doing something like that and it did work. If I can't do anything like that, do I have to create a new profile or what?

Plz help.

EDIT: Turned off ad. remover too (for GS) just to make sure it wasn't the cause. Still nothing.
