My first racing game from 1987. Still very nice.

When my parents purchased the original Excitebike for me shortly after we got the NES in 1987, I never thought that I would be a racing game fanatic. I have since become a racing game fanatic with well over 200 almost 300 wins that I can remember over many racing games.

I really like the gameplay. It is easy at first, but gets really challenging to almost impossible. When I lose, I get back at it and try again. That's what I like most about it. Also, I had to remember all my old tricks to winning in this game in the higher levels. I still remember most of them.

The graphics are well, 8-bit, which I love! If it were up to me, all games would go back to 8-bit so designers would have to be more creative and use artistic license.

The controls are simple. Gas on it and use up and down to steer. Be careful not to overheat!
