How was your day?
The first level is a kind of tutorial. You're on a rescue mission with you partner Steve. Then a volcano erupts and Raymond fails to save his partner leaving him traumatized. Then the story picks up exactly one year later...
A former military organization named SURGE have stolen several nuclear weapons and have taken some seismologists hostage, among them late Steve's sister. Still feeling guilty over Steve, Raymond vows to save her at all costs.
In the 24 hours that follow he has to pursue SURGE, while surviving the worst nature has to offer; earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and more. Meanwhile he has to locate and rescue people.
The game is a lot of fun and you never know what is going to happen. Gameplay is varied with shooting sequences, running for your life and exploration. It's no Metal Gear Solid, but it doesn't take itself too seriously.
You can unlock new costumes and modes and upgrade your weapons further, but still the replay-value is limited because you already know what is going to happen.
All-in-all a very unique game
