Don't give into the Elitist hate, this still a great game

User Rating: 9.5 | Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition PC
I am going to make this review short, as to not focus on the story or gameplay of Dark Souls. If you have heard about it: you know what it is, if not, read the review for DS on the Xbox 360.

What I can say is it still the same great game for those who have played it in the past. Controls are still perfect (Using a Razer Onza TE for me) and it runs better for me then on the Xbox.

My specs are not terribly High, It is a decent computer, I can play Skyrim and this no problem.

That being said I WAS hitting only 15 FPS when I first started. Just kept playing and it just slowly climbed to 30, and stayed there. I get dips in it when resting at a bonfire or going through fog, but it is the same issue you get on the console there. Overall it runs better on my system and Blighttown has no issues at all.

If you are a fan of Dark Souls I recommend it. If you are a newcomer to Dark Souls...Then BUY it. I suggest you invest in a controller, as it play perfect with that, but if you must use the keyboard, it has bindable keys.

From Software did a fine job, with the low amount of knowledge for the PC porting process, and passed my test with flying colors. There are issues for some that want to see the game full HD and fully remade, but it looks fine. If you must see it in that crazy resolution, just Google "Durantes Fix", hell if you have it on Steam it is in the News section. Gives you customizable resolutions and Damn does it look good. I have used it before and it does improve the look significantly.

TL:DR Buy the game
