Crash team racing is a great, classic racing game.
Crash team racing has a great variety levels to race through against different types of racers. The levels pose different challenges. They all have great design.
The characters to choose from have 3 types of karts. There are racers who are very good at turning, ones who have extreme speed, and ones who are decent in 3 areas. The crash characters consist of Crash, Coco, Cortex, Polar, N. Gin, Pura, Dingodile, and Tiny. These characters are for the story. In story mode, you compete to win the trophy for each stage, by coming in first. In each world, after completing the stages, you face a boss racer who poses more of a challenge. The bosses are unlockable after completing the story mode.
There are other modes to play in. There is time trial, where you can challenge yourself to get a better time each time you race on a track. Or, you can have more than one player, and try to get the best time.
Another mode you can race four tracks in order to get points, and be the victor. The four tracks are preditermined, and there are four sets of choices.
There is also a specifically multiplayer mode where you try to reduce the player's lives to zero.
There are other challenges within the game to try and complete.
Overall: The good: characters differences, variety of stages, graphics that still look fair even today, good variety of modes to play. The bad: Fairly easy.
