One of the better singleplayer campaign's for a first person shooter.
Today I will be reviewing the single player campaign, where you get to be part of Bad Company again and continue to do the Dirty Work for the military.
Starting off in this game, one of the first things you'll notice is that the cutscenes are exceptional. There are numerous cutscenes throughout the entire singleplayer experience. The cutscenes, besides the fact of looking great also sound great. The voiceover work is superb, fitting in perfectly with the video and also adding some humor. The characters in the singleplayer game mode are always cracking jokes or picking on each other.
Next up is the storyline. Having not played very far into the first Bad Company game I'm not sure how Bad Company 2's storyline is related to the first one. Although I can say, that the storyline in Bad Company 2 is very informative and easy to follow. Between each segment of the entire campaign the cutscenes will help to keep you informed on what you are doing and why you are doing it. At the end of the single player campaign, the story is very open which can leave many possibilities for a Bad Company 3 game.
Now I'll talk a little bit about the gameplay. The controls are your typical controls for a first person shooter. They are easy to use and if you've ever played a first person shooter you'll quickly get used to them. And of course, you can customize them to your liking.
The graphics in this game are absolutely stunning. The surroundings in game are very realistic as well as the characters. The completely destroyable environment allows to you blow holes in walls and literally bring down buildings. The enemy has no chance to hide from you!
Usually games are completely looked at for their graphics and sound is often overlooked. But in Bad Company 2 you need to mention the sound effects. From the voices of the characters, to the sound of gunshots to sound of a building crashing down right next to you, the sound quality is very realistic. Take this sound quality and match it with some high definition speakers and hardware and you will be amazed.
Overall this game was a great single player experience. I recommend giving it a try.
