Actually, it's not as bad as many think... just frustrating sometimes.
The setting is similar to the animated series on TV and the graphics are pretty good considering. You take control of Batman throughout the entire game as you battle several of his arch-enemies.
You do get a Batcave level to start things off so you can test and learn the controls before your sent out into the fray. The controls are somewhat sloppy and its not easy to switch between accessories. The jumping can also be tricky at times and frustrating if you miss your mark.
To me, the biggest flaw in this game is the hand-to-hand combat with thugs and simple enemies. They are sometimes impossible to beat and give alot of damage. The A.I. was programmed to make beating simple thugs almost impossible, and their aim is dead-on almost every time.
Like I mentioned earlier, its not a horrible game, but it could have been so much better. Play it if your a big Batman fan, but dont expect much.
