Today during a special Twitch livestream, Bungie shared new details about Destiny's upcoming Taken King expansion, which launches in just over a month, on September 15.

One of the biggest pieces of news was saved for the last section of the broadcast, when Bungie announced that Destiny vault space will double with The Taken King.

The weapon vault has been doubled, while the armor vault has actually more than doubled to 72 slots, Bungie community manager David "Deej" Dague said during the presentation.

Also during the broadcast, Bungie shared more details about Destiny's soon-to-be-overhauled leveling and quest systems. Essentially, Light levels are going away, in that they will be converted to your regular level. As such, you will be able to reach the new level cap of 40 through regular gameplay alone.

Your Guardians' new Light level will now be an average of attack and defense gear statistics, including the Ghost Shell and class item. The Taken King will also introduce a new Spark of Light item, which will allow players to instantly level a single character to 25.

Check back soon for even more Destiny: Taken King news, videos, and impressions. In addition, Bungie will hold two additional livestream events, on August 25 and September 2.

The Taken King launches on September 15 across all platforms. It will make major changes to the overall Destiny experience, and the Ghost voice actor Peter Dinklage has even been replaced. For more on The Taken King, check out some recent stories below.
