fun only for multiplayer, but campaign is overall very controller throwingly stupid and hard
what is it with Japanese companies trying to appeal to western audiences they need to stick with they're roots and they need to know they're old classic Japanese titles make money here also, these butchered Americanized versions of these Japanese titles are either garbage or playable but not the same.
but anyway assault horizon was fun at first i played the demo like a year ago and liked it but now that im playing the game i had fun first but now its just the same old thing over and over again DFM, QTE, DFM, ugh the DFM part is what makes me frustrated and abit anxiety written really i mean my brain is sensitive and doing this DFM thing over and over again just makes me mad thinking of doing this all the time the game forces me to do it like its required i want to i wanna play the game how its ment to be played, but theres a circle with an obnoxious beeping it tempts me to go in DFM and i do it.
now the story in Assault horizon is nothing good nothing new its generic it has todo with this guy nicknamed the shark from russia or something, i was like oh good another generic America VS Russia war story with Michael bay explosions how original.
but the game has a few good things right it keeps the series classic epic orchestral music we know and love i even have some of them on my PSP / MP3 player :)
and another thing the multiplayer is alot of fun not to mention you can customize and battle in chaotic dogfights i mean it really is chaos, and lets not forget idolmaster skins ^_^
now one more thing before i end this review alot of the missions are so stressfull and annoying they are trial and error and really hard all it is with each of them is bombing, defending, guning, repeat, if your defending someone and you arent fast enough your screwed 2 minutes flat its stupid its very dumb and stressfull, i had to take a break and some rest after those dumb missions, plus when your fighting jet planes and jet fighters it takes like 10 minutes to destroy them all =__= just because of that dumb DFM mode or something and the only part i had fun was the turret heli sectinos but saying that about a ace combat game doesnt sound right
rent or buy this game if you like but i only reccomend this game for multiplayer, thats actually the reason why i bought this, game is for multiplayer
