.hack//G.U. vol. 1//Rebirth is a RPG inside a MMORPG. Several years after the events in the first .hack games, a new hero other then Kite is in the game, Haseo, an Adapt Rouge seeks for a Player Kill only Known as "Tri-Edge." His motives, are, well to say it without giving anything away, personal. After eight months of looking, Haseo, has become incredibly strong for this vendetta against Tri-Edge, He has become level 133 and has an arsenal of high powered weapons. He has made himself into a famous Player-Killer-Killer, "The Terror of Death." His search finally came to an end, he found Tri-Edge. But, it is a shame, for Tri-Edge seems to be out of this world (Well, The World's World that is :P), and crushes Haseo with ease. He goes even farther to crush Haseo then just killing his character, he uses an unknown skill named "Data Drain." This completely makes Haseo's computer go AWOL, causing Haseo to manually shut his computer. When he logs back on, his character is reformatted in front of his own eyes. The reformation of his character turns his character right back down to level 1, with zero items. (Just perfect for you, yay!) And also deletes all of his friends off his friend list and Email's. Now you take control, trying to figure out how Tri-Edge did it, and try to defeat him!

The graphics are a really nice improvement from the other .hack games, looking cleaner and darker. I also found the OST in this game very good, and the voice acting also to boot. The Vale may not be good now, but when part two comes out, it will be very useful to have. The gameplay is not that well, due to repetitive battles and dungeons, in fact, I only battled around 20 monsters if I think about it.

The game is overall great, interesting story,(sometimes it drags out, but the storyline makes up for it) great soundtrack, and crisp graphics. I suggest checking it out to anyone, and a must to .hack//fans!
