A great addition to the .Hack series.

This game is highly immersive. Don't be surprised to go on 5 hours sprees just doing misc stuff that doesn't really involve the story. If you are a .Hack fan, you will not be disappointed.

The game play is great. The world R:2 is good. The combat has been improved. To some, you may like the old combat more. I enjoy the new combat more than the old. It's faster, more enjoyable, and not as repetitive. Sometimes I even found myself looking forward to battles. Leveling up is easy too. It may not be too hard to be level 50 (maximum for the 1st game) in no time at all. There are also plenty of side quests to take on too. Plus the guilds and the new books of 1000. It has a lot of content to keep you entertained. If you're a fan of combat, there is also the arena to fight in and increase your rank.

The story is good too. Although, I don't really like the main character, Haseo. I'm sure that other people will disagree, but that is merely my opinion. It all starts out with you, Haseo, a noob in the world. An adept rogue. You log in to meet Iyoten and Asta, 2 party members that have a secret in store for you. I don't want to spoil it. 6 months later, you are the great lvl 133, PKKer, the Terror of Death. You are rumored to have taken out 100 PKers. Anyways, your arch-enemy is Tri-Edge. After a long wait of wanting to confront him, you finally get the chance to see him. You fight him, to get Data Drain and converted all the way back to level1! After all that hard work, level 1. You start anew as the story unfolds, someday, maybe you'll be the terror of death again.

The graphics and sound are not ones you'll want to miss. I love this games graphics. I've always been a fan of these types of graphics, and these ones do not disappoint. Same goes for the soundtrack. The battle music is great, and it always has music to match what is going on in the game. As I've said, this .Hack is a great addition to the series. You do not want to pass this one up.
