A game perfect for puzzle fans, hardcore or otherwise.

At first glance of ZooCube's odd cover art, one is mostly inclined to say, "GUH???". That was my impression for about 10 seconds or so, then I noticed the $9.99 price tag on it. After I saw this really low price( it was used by the way), I thought, "Ehhh....I need more Gamecube games anyway". I bought it and took it home, not expecting a whole lot out of the game. But I was wrong. ZooCube is a very well done puzzle game. With around 36 different animals to free, lots of power-ups, and decent music, it is definitely a must-play for any puzzle fan. Despite the silly artwork, this puzzler is difficult, at least from level 3 and up. The unchangeable difficulty level will range from "I LIKE NUTS!!!!" to "Godly" with few pitstops in between. The game speed can be changed to increase difficulty as you please. The Somewhat 3D gameplay is tricky to figure out at first, but after a while, the only reason you lose on a level will be that you weren't fast enough. The biggest drawback of ZooCube is that the high scores don't save to your memory card and automatically resets everytime you replay the game. ZooCube does offer multiplayer in the form of two modes: Collaborative and Competitive. Collaborative sees you and a friends trying to free all the animals, while Competitive pits you against three other friends. Overall, ZooCube is a fun game that deserved a bigger following than it got. If you are a puzzle gamer and see ZooCube in your local bargain bin, I suggest playing it.
