You know that playing card game "War?" Well instead of aces and hearts it's with dragons and other beasts.

User Rating: 6.3 | Yu-Gi-Oh! Shin Duel Monsters (PSOne Books) PS
Yu-Gi-Oh itself, is an incredibly easy game to play and master. Just get the strongest cards, or come up with a way to win quick, and you've built a great deck. In Forbidden Memories (FM), all effect monsters are taken away. Apparently, "When this monster is put itno a graveyard from play, draw a card" is too complicated. There's also a major lack on trap and magic cards. Meaning you'll mostly be relying on big monsters to trample over your opponent's. That's it basically. You can fuse to make bigger monsters, you can use the few magic or trap cards you'll come across.

When you win you'll get star chips and a card. The card will usually suck unless you were really close to losing. Like one card left in your deck or less than 1000 life points. You can use the star chips to buy new cards. By taking the codes from an internet list, or taking your cards and seeing which codes work, (Codes are in bottom left hand corner of each card. Now you know what those numbers were for.) you can buy the card. However, the game acts a bit crazy. If you want to buy Summoned Skull, it will probably put it at the highest possible price. Or if you want something that fuses with one of your monsters, like Baby Dragon + Time Wizard, and you need the Wizard. If you didn't have the dragon, maybe 200 chips. If you do, highest possible price so it's borderline impossible. Getting good cards isn't easy, but is neccesary. Because some opponents can get out monsters with over 3500 attack. And you'll need powerboosts to already amazing monsters to beat that. The game gives you unfair opponents. You can be winning then they get out a Black Skull Dragon with 3200 attack, and you can't kill it! I will say this, the game is addicting and kind of fun to play. It's dumbed down from the already simple cash-sucker it's made from. It's a good time waster. But I'll go back to playing Magic: The Gathering with real people.
