Truly brings the strategy genre to a whole new level
single player campaign sucks you in
good animations
base managing is interesting
visually stunning
rewarding gameplay
get to value each soldier's life
single player maps are varied
cons:
soldiers' high percent shots that miss can be annoyance
finding hidden enemies all over the map can be time consuming
awkward camera angles during fire sequences
environmental trigonometry, such as walls and multiple floors, can be buggy
can be suddenly difficult midway even when playing on normal mode
only one squad and base
multiplayer seriously lacking
not enough soldier customization
completing just a single mission can take up a considerable amount of time
my thoughts: overall this game really amazed me from the start with its visual presentation. killing an alien with every successful shot brought me sheer joy. Though there were cons listed that seriously bugged me out at times, this is a game that doesnt fail to deliver the unique entertainment that recent strategy games have not been able to do.
