Lame, lame, lame!

I was excited to play this game, having been a huge fan of DoW1. I knew that it was going to be a more tactical game, but did not realize that "tactical" equated to "lacking in content."

I played through the single campaign, and was completely unimpressed with the repeated reuse of the same maps over and over. Really? They couldn't spring for a few thousand more dollars to have some highschool kid put some maps together for them? That would have been so much better.

Boss fights? REALLY?! What is this, 1983? Are we playign Mario Brothers again? It sure felt like it by the fourth or so boss fight. Pathetisad. Just pathetisad.

They call this a "tactical" game, but I didn't find it to be such. There is one, and only one, way to play this game. Charge in, pin them down, and flank. Wash, rinse, repeat. Apparently in the boardrooms at THQ and Relic "tactical" is strategy's little bran-damaged brother. With a stutter.

And finally, seriously... Steam AND Microsoft Live? This is absurd! When I find myself setting up multiple accounts with different companies just to play a game, this tells me that maybe the game is not worth looking at. I regret that I did.

So, if you're looking at this game and lookign for a tactical combat experience, just stop. Go out on the net or dig around in your old games collection, find yourself a copy of Warhammer 40k: Chaos Gate, and play that. That was way better than this POS will ever be, regardless of how many expansions they release for it.
