I was disappointed when I began to play this game as it is nothing like Dawn of War 1. There are no player controllable structures in the campaign which means only a limited number of units and no research/upgrades. However, there are some good things about this sequel. It has some great graphics but can lag when scrolling around the map. The new cover feature also adds some realism and possible strategies depending on what type of player you are. At times in the campaign though, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of enemy forces compared to your tiny squad. Multiplayer is also nothing like Dawn of War 1. You only have one structure that can train and construct units and the only defensive structure you can have must be created by a defensive commander such as the Tech Marine or Mek boy. The new Last Stand mode however is fairly decent and can get addicting. In the end however, I would rather play Dawn of War 1.
