Big change... Great campaign and amazing Game-play (minus the activation)
It's a fantastic experience and recommended for most people, plus you get the Skirmish and Multiplayer modes... said that...
...after the living hell of playing through steam for the first time, 3 1/2 hours later, I could finally use the "Play" button, but I was so tired, I hit the "Exit" button.
Next day I tried it again... I recently updated my computer, and this is my first "Next-gen" game I play, one of my favorite RTS (among others) are the previous 4 Dawn of war, This time you'll get busy the RPG style, with very intense battles after choosing your right squad... you'll have no problem playing DoWII OFF-LINE... (sorry, but I don't dig on-line play).
...well, with this renewed system of "level up". It takes a little getting used to it... but great!, intense battles with many ways to play and a nice, rewarding campaign, choosing the right character to battle is both, part of your strategy, and part of your success...
I'm a fan of games like Diablo, and also an RPG enthusiast, so the change was VERY good for me, I won't have to abandon the previous Dawn of War games, and I'm glad because I invested some money in the 4 of them, luckily, I can play I & II from time to time and have a very different experience, depending on my mood...
I'm very happy because This game will be in my computer for a very long time, I praise the designers who took a different path, not just improving graphics for DoW2...
If you are not one of those freaks who think the world spins around them, and welcome change for good, then it is worth to get your time to install this game ... yes with all of the patches and updates ant hours it takes to install if it's your first game through this system of activation... after all, there's a bonus: You won't require the dvd in the computer to play...

Games Like Microsoft flight simulator (and others), just took 15 seconds to activate!!!. take a note or two, developers!!!,
Since the -cons- are not forever, as the great gameplay is, I'll give you 9.5
