It's difficult to decide if I liked this game or not. It's a new concept to me.

Dawn of War 2 clearly goes on from the previous game, with no real introductions to the characters. Even so, it does not really matter. You get thrown into the action straight off the bat, with a gun blazing war between your forces and the Orcs.

The game is actually not correctly classified when you say it's a RTS game. It feels to me a lot more like an RPG game with loads of upgrades and things to pick up along the way which you can equip to your soldiers. You start off creating your own character, though there is no customization actually, and you are joined by some squad members. Each member has it's own set of soldiers and they have their own strengths. Dudes with jetpacks, rail guns and sniper rifels.

The graphics was pretty good for a game which is supposed to be a RTS game. The environment is lush and beautiful and each planet truly has it's own look. You progress through the campaigns by completing missions and submissions, most of the time you're just killing aliens and this can make the game feel very repetitive.

I don't think the game really impressed me all that much, but the pretty good score I gave it must say something good about the game. The graphics. The story and the really long campaign made this a game worth spending money on.

If you like strategy games, I would try and stay away from this, if you're more into RPG's and upgrades and stuff like that, this totally worth your time.
