Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II, how we waited for thee! With Soulstorm being far from impressive, i was really hoping Dawn of War II would be revitalising the series. I must admit i did get a tad worried when Relic announced "No base building". I immediatly thought they had ripped out the Heart of Dawn of War. Well, still being a "40K fan" i purchased it on the first day out. I took it home and played a Skirmish as the Space Marines. I then knew that Relic had made Dawn of War into something even more epic and akin to Company of Heroes. While you may not be enthralled with characters in the Campaign eg. sadsack emo "Cyrus", it provides this unique Wargear system that sometimes makes you take a "Boring, lame Defense Mission" just because the wargear would be beneficial to you. Someone said "Co-op makes anything better" and they were right. Co-op lets your friend join in and take control of half your forces and you get to work together to accomplish the mission. Now its obvious that i enjoy 40K stuff so, i will not keep you from the bad parts of the game, which are just small. I found the comments made by the Characters in the Campaign rather....average? I mean i know they're Space Marines but seriously? Some are so cheesy eg.

Tarkus: "We taught those xenos to kneel in the Emperor's presence."
Avitus: "We did better than that. We taught them to lay face down and bleed in His presence."
and they'll say almost everytime when defending a shrine. Also at the original time of playing there seem to be few maps for the Online component and 2v2 doesn't exist - Knowing Relic this will be patched though. But ah well, all in all a great game!
