Great story, great game play, great graphics, just plain great!
I was a little hesitant about the idea of mixing RPG elements in a RTS but after a couple of missions, I was all in. I found it very innovative. The strategy portion is deciding which elements to increase (strength, stamina, etc.) along with which 4 characters to take along on your mission and which weapons to take. Once you're in the mission, real time tactics take over.
The RTT aspect isn't as challenging as COH, but man is it fun to play and the graphics are very pleasing to the eye.
I'm new to the DOW franchise but even starting with this game I was pulled in and thought the story line was immersive.
There are numerous missions some optional but I wanted to complete them all to level up my characters. Some villains are tough to get through like the avatar and I was dazzled by the graphics of just watching. Lots of game play means great value for your money.
I was a little disappointed that you can not replay missions that you beat. Some are very exciting and it would be nice to have a replay option. You can obviously replay mission you fail.
If you liked COH, you'll like DOW2. This game is highly recommended!
