War of the Roses

Although it has it's flawes, the addictive combat and the gratification on a successful victory is amazing!

I've played competitive multiplayer games for over 10 years now and must say this game has brought me back from a drought of carbon copy multiplayer games. This game actually takes calculation, strategy, and skill! If you're a skill seeking multiplayer gamer I say get this now and take the challenge, if you're more casual I'd suggest waiting for it to go on sale and you won't regret it.

For a small studio and their own engine I think these guys did something not even the big boys seem to be able to do. It also feels for once its not a game designed to the lowest denominator and why the need for skill exist.

P.S. Light armor, light helmet, and an axe are epic fun and challenge of your skill. I tend to die more than I kill, but boy is it gratifying to defeat someone that's fully plated with a shield and the two handed sword!
