Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo have all committed to new platform policies on loot boxes. A game that includes loot boxes on an Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo console will have to disclose the rarity of items that could appear inside each box. This policy could also be adopted for mobile devices, although it does leave out the PC.
