Avengers: Infinity War Adds Another Character From Guardians Of The Galaxy

The 2018 Avengers film, Infinity War, is already set to have a huge cast. Now, it's grown again.

Pom Klementieff, who plays Mantis in this year's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, has confirmed that she will appear in Infinity War. She confirmed this on Instagram (via Entertainment Weekly), sharing a picture of herself wearing an Infinity War hat and another of her character, Mantis, on the cover of Avengers #123. That second photo was tagged for Atlanta, Georgia, which is where Infinity War is filming right now.

Infinity War brings together lots of Marvel superheroes, including Guardians of the Galaxy characters such as Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista, Nebula (Karen Gillan), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Groot (Vin Diesel). Additionally, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will be in the movie.

"I don't think anybody who is a current [Marvel] character is not going to be in Infinity War [laughs]," Bautista recently said. "That's just my opinion. I haven't gotten confirmation on who all is going to be in the film, but I think that they're really going to go all-out on this."

Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. It will be followed by an untitled Avengers film in 2019.
