When first getting involved in this game I was not only pleasantly surprised by the cinematic delivery but I came to love the gameplay elements as well. I highly recommend this game to all those that are fond of a great story and deep gameplay. The learning curve is a bit steep but once you have an understanding of it you never look back. With a complex story that is delivered in a way that rivals a hollywood movie I would say you would be hard pressed to find something better.

The character designs are eye pleasing and the sound of the thumps and wacks when hitting the enemy give complete satisfaction. The musical score gives off a very epic feel and the songs seem to take on a light presence that walk the line just enough to be pleasing but not overbearing. This by far was a very ambitous game and therefore is rare even by today's standards. If you haven't picked up a copy you shouldn't wait. The game is still available at a resonable price.

For a shorter than average RPG, or better yet, for any RPG, Vagrant Story really delivers.
