A fun little PS2 style hack and slash RPG for your PSP in the vein of Buldar's Gate or Champions of Norrath.

Introducing Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade, a fun little hack and slash RPG that pretty much anyone can get hold of and enjoy. If you start playing it and suddenly realize that it all feels familiar, you are not wrong. Untold Legends BotB plays exactly the same as the Buldar's Gate series and Champions of Norrath series on the PS2. For some, including myself, this is NOT a bad thing. I thoroughly enjoy both of those franchises. Playing this on my PSP is just like having my best friend along for the ride.

So what to expect? LOTS of character customizations. You have the ability to build a character from a weakling into a strong warrior able to tackle anything. You can customize spells and abilities to their armor. Customizing the armor is also rather interesting as you can add various items you have picked up (which seem to be rather abundant) to them to give your armor special magical protective properties. The same can be done with weapons, so have fun building the perfect weapon.

The story is pretty standard fantasy fare. Not that I am complaining, but wouldn't mind something a little more "involving and deeper." The story throws you into the thick of things rather early on, so don't expect the story to take a while to "pick up."

Graphically this title isn't all to shabby looking. It isn't going to turn any heads like God of War does, but it is still a good looking game with a pretty large world to explore. there is enough details in the environments and characters to make it a very worth while game.

One thing I am disappointed with is the lack of online game play. It does support ad hoc mode, however.

I recommend picking it up for the simple fact that the PSP just doesn't have enough quality hack and slash RPG's out. This is a great addition.
