Uniracer is a one way trip to bordem after a while.
Uniracers is basically a racing game using Unicycles. You go down a single line track (side-scrolling) into loops, waves and other weird shapes. The track designs are neat and varied. The controls are good and you'll find that it is easy to manuver your unicycle around. You do really get a sense of speed when you're playing, quite like todays NFS series.
The sound is decent. It isn't special, but it isn't complete crap either. The graphics are bright and colourful, but there really is nothing to show them on. The unicycles are tiny and you'll only see a few stripes of colour. The track is just a line. The background (if memory serves me correctly), it very plain.
The gameplay isn't that great. The racing is very 1 demensional. To the average gamer, it is mostly luck on the racing tracks (hoping the opponent will screw up, getting good momentum before going uphill or landing a trick well). The trick stages do require some skill but are to bland and dull for me. There isn't enough variety.
There are much better racing games than this out for the SNES. There is no reason to buy this game as it gets boring fast. But if this kind of thing floats your boat....
