Not fair to score this one low! I think GS is a bit harsh...

Okay, I haven't completed the game but I am well into the second chapter. I know where this seems to be a letdown to some fans of the series. Early on in the game, the story gets off the ground rather sloppily and a bit corny but it quickly turns around and plants its treasure hunting roots firmly in your hands. Although the story is not as polished as one might expect from the Uncharted series, the game definitely makes up for all that by adding tons of opportunity to find treasure and clues along Nathan's adventure! They have really tried to creatively utilize the Vita's unique controls and leave it up to you how you're most comfortable using those controls. If you want to use the touch screen for Nathan's movements you can, if you'd rather use the basic thumb sticks and L1R1 scheme, go for it...it's up to you!

Personally I think the game mechanics are excellent and better than expected out of the box. It took a bit to get used to aiming on a portable device than looking at a stationary monitor and separate controller. Holding a "monitor" with built in controls, takes some adjustment but you quickly learn how to comfortably work with it. Like riding a bike. :)

NaughtyDog has piqued my interest in obtaining more DLC for this game as it becomes available as well as any new games in the series!
