It's good but not that good, the graphics is original but the gameplay is not. Too similar to Spider-man 2.
Since Sam Raimi announced that Spider-man 3 was coming to the big screens the bad part is we'd have to wait until 2007! And then comes Ultimate Spiderman, a game by Activision and Treyarch which is based on the comicbook by Brian Micheal Bendis instead of the movie.
The game features pretty much like the Spidey 2, with you playing as Spider-man using your powers for the good of mankind. This is the down-fall of the game as free-roaming is the same.
The game however gets real good when it comes to the graphics. It's awesome to see how the characters move in the cinematics, it's made of moving comicbook panels which really suites the style of the game.
Another great thing about the game is that when get tired of playing all heroic with Spider-man, you get to play as the brute Venom. With Venom this allows you to roam but with a different motives, using Venom you can make massive jumps from one place to another. Another is that he got super-strength which allows you to lift civillian vehicles and throw them around the place. And if your reign of destruction isn't over yet you can also terrorize innocent people, and since the fact that Venom's suit feeds off himself your health continously drain (I consider this a weakness) the solution is by sucking people inside the Venom suit to feed off energy, grousome isn't it?
We'll there you have it, Ultimate Spiderman made have been that great of a game but guess what ,that's life.
