not as good as the psp version but its still good.

User Rating: 7.5 | Twisted Metal: Head-On - Extra Twisted Edition PS2
this game is mainly just a history lesson of twisted metal with some extra features thrown in.

it has twisted metal head on, 4 new twisted metal black levels, the unused video endings from tm1, "sweet tour", and the "dark past" of twisted metal.

tm:ho is pretty good but is very glitchy. when you choose what game to save the top one is all staticy. when you choose your car the same thing happens with certain characters. thankfully these only happen at these times. the only glitches i found with the actual gameplay is that when the music resets the game pauses for a second and on the transylvania minigame you can actually get your front tire stuck in the ground if you are playing as mr. grimm.

twist metal lost (black) is not so good. it's kinda hard considering that there is very few weapons in the battlegrounds. there are no endings, only unlockables. they are gold tooth (a more powerful version of sweet tooth), 12-pak (new vehicle), and a note written by the deceased team members.

sweet tour is ok. it lets you control sweet tooth and collect facts about twisted metal. finding the facts isn't so hard. jumping is wierd because you kind of slide on the ground for a second or 2 and then you jump. the only part that you will ever punch is when you have to break glass to get in a building. it's pathetic. the animation for the glass is terrible and theres not even any glass smashing sound. at one point there are lights moving around. you would think that you would have to avoid these but you don't. you can just walk right through them. the obsticles aren't even obsticles because you can walk on air over the pits and just walk right through the smashing things. once you find all of the facts and you get to the ice cream truck, thats it. no ending or anything.

the ending movies that weren't used in tm1 are so cheesy that they're funny.

the controls are great except for the freeze missile. in tm:ho you just press up,down,up. sometimes this won't work so you try again, it works, but your target has already gotten away. this wasn't a problem in the psp version. also to shoot backwards you press down,up,down. its too similar to the freeze missile combination and you will constantly waste your powerful weapons or accidently hurt yourself with a napalm or a remote bomb. also this command isn't unresponsive at all so when you try a second time to freeze you will shoot a weapon backwards. i'm not saying shooting backwards is useless, i'm just saying the commbination of buttons isn't well thought out.

the only other problem with this game is the new fire animation. it doesn't look like fire. sweet tooth's head in tm:ho looks like the fire is flying in straight lines really fast. this also happens when you defeat an opponent.

but overall, this game is pretty good. the psp version is better but if you don't have a psp you should give this a try.
