Twisted metal is a little franchise that aired on the Play-Station one. The first two were very exciting and after the development switched hands it really got old, stale, and boring. Luckily the development then came back to the original creators and Then came Twisted Metal: Black, one of the best car combat games of all time. It had a story like Thrill-Kill and kick butt game play. Now, after 11 years, or less if you count the psp game, Twisted Metal is back! It may not be a total genre defining experience like its predecessor, but it's fun as hell. The game is very well balanced and is great online. The controls are kind of a disappointment however and will take time to learn. The story in the game is decent. It is basically a rehash of Black's horror style but with less characters.. That's another problem there is not enough characters, tons of cars, just not enough characters... The game can be finished in a day if your a Twisted Metal Vet. The Online is amazing. The nuke mode is so much fun you could get your 50 bucks out of the game just on that. The graphics in the game are par with other games. Not anything special, but it runs smooth so I can't complain. Without rambling on to much, Twisted Metal is a fun old-school style car combat game that you will likely have fun with, but the challenge of the game and controls and the sub-par story may twist this game off your road of greatness. This game is not for children.
