Enter a growing conflict in the seedy streets of todays LA.

User Rating: 8.6 | True Crime: Streets of LA XBOX
True Crime mixes three popular game genres into one huge Cop gangster story that will intrigue you with its multiple endings and cheesy one liners.

Meet Nick Kang, all around crooked LAPD Police Officer who was recently suspended from the force for who knows what. Kang is called back into action when a city wide war breaks out between The Chinese triads and the Russian mob. The story develops and eventually gets a bit retarted later on but then regains its cheesy awsomeness found in shows such as T.J. Hooker that True Crime is heavily based off of.

The game mices Driving, fighting and shooting in a manner that works quite well if you don't mind forgiving a few flaws. The driving is pretty awsome especially when your chasing down some "dumbass criminal" as Nick would say while blasting at them with you shiney laser sighted M9 Beretta. Its just pretty damn exciting when you actually experiance it. Ypu can also win new cars in street races.

The fighting is a little clunky but still works fairly well with many diffferent moves that you can learn at dojos scattered around LA. But when fighting multiple foes all at once, it can kind of fall apart. But luckily when your beating on one guy the rest just stand around. The shooting can be quite exciting as well. The shotting can get a little out of hand with duel AK47's and what not, but you still feel like a badass action hero mqwing down hordes of Ruskies and triad thugs.

The sound features a star studded vocal cast including Christopher Walkin and other great actors and actresses. The sound track is filled with lots of Hip Hop and Rap. Now I really like Rap, but if you don't then mute the sound, because thats just about all there is to listen to.

In the end True Crime is a great overall package with a few minor flaws that never seem much of a big deal. So what are you waiting for? go Protect and Serve!
