Waah! Good games like these should be longer
1. Gameplay - Well it is a 3d side scrolling game, with an awesome graphics. You can choose between 3 characters after the 1st training mission is complete. In the training mission you will be introduced to each of the characters separately. You are first introduced to the thief. She can shoot arrows and can shoot a rope to hang and swing. Next comes the wizard. He can move objects and can create boxes in mid air (try creating a box on top of your enemies and watch them squish to death). Finally comes the Knight (he is fat enough for a sumo wrestler). He has a sword which he bring down crashing on anything, and can break through most of the weaker barriers with it. He can also use his shield to defend himself from incoming fireballs, arrows and attacks. The particle effect and texture rendering of the game are awesome. Just the game is very short.
2. Story - The story goes that in some distant kingdom, the forces of undead have taken over the lands. Meanwhile a thief with an intention to loot the kings treasury reached the vaults to find a mysterious artifact named the Trine. A wizard of the kingdom while escaping the undead reached the Trine, while a knight trying to find and fight the undead also reached the chamber where the thief and wizard were already present. They simultaneously touched the Trine and found that their souls had gotten intertwined, and they had to find their way through the maze of jungles and ruins of the kingdom fighting the undead to reach a location where the effects of the trine can be undone.
3. Music - A not so impressive fantasy music is all that I can say about it.
4. Graphics - What Trine looses in music, it makes up in graphics. The graphics of Trine are simply put - stunning. Every detail has been execute to perfection. The dynamic interaction of the objects with each other and the characters is also so lucid that you wont fell the difference.
A good game marred by such a short gameplay. I say it is definitely worth the sky high price.
