Its not great... but it didnt fail...
This game starts off with you picking a side, Decepticons or Autobots and you play through each of the alternate story lines either protecting or destroying. The gameplay is pretty hard to get the hang of which is probably why many people straight after their first go at playing, think its a bad game but once you get the hang of the controls, it becomes really fun driving up to someone, transforming, punching them in the face and driving off but the game is really lacking in graphics. The story can also get quite repetitive because the enemy robots aren't really different in many ways. Also the lack of characters to choose from and that the game doesnt really show anything sequences from the movie makes the game feel like it's missing something.
One of the best features of the game would have to be the online gameplay where you choose a side and fight through different events and maps. The online gameplay would probably be the main reason people would play their game after they have finished with the story.
All in all, this game is a step up from the previous movie game but it is still lacking in many elements of what this game should have had. I would recommend people rent this game first because for most people, that will be enough time to get what you need out of the game without wasting your money.
