An excellent origin redux of Lara Croft. This game excels at the story it tells leaving you feeling for her

This game simply does a lot right, the story it tells is top notch. The characters are likeable and memorable through Laras interaction with them and from flashbacks and other snippets of information.

On the PC the graphics are breath taking down to the littlest touches like Laras breath in the cold or the quivering of her lips in the freezing rain. The lighting is very well done leading to a very atmospheric quality of the environment that gives it life.

Combat is well done and the AI is excellent at its attempts to flush you from cover, I do not mind some of the QT events since they are well done with a Heavy Rain feel allowing you to interact with heavily scripted sequences making you feel as though you are fighting for your life.

The multiplayer is totally unnecessary and not well executed, rated alone it would be a 2 outta 10 there are simply better shooters out there which do multiplayer much better, I would have rather the team put all their energy into more levels or content, a longer story, anything but multiplayer.

The TressFX- Well this is a stinker, it does make the hair flow all pretty and whatnot, I did not experience the performance hit some has complained about. My beef is different, the movement is unnatural and sometimes the hair clips into your bow(very distracting). And the huge stinker; her hair will vanish leaving you with no ponytail and very little hair and a huge hole in the back of her hair where the ponytail is rigged to.

Overall, a well executed journey with Lara that makes you feel like jumping into the game to protect this girl that is going through the wringer.
