What a first person shooter should be

Its like respawn actually listened to what we all wanted after titan fall 1. THE GOOD: They added a campaign! As short as it is(you can knock it out in about 3-5 hours) a fully customizable super titan+funny dialogue between you and your titan+interesting sci-fi story(including time travel). Makes me excited to see where respwan takes us in the future. The multiplayer is spot on. same type of mobility but with the new grappling hook, you can practically fly across the map. The momentum based free-running style hasn't changed leaving online matches just as action packed and fast paced as the first. THE BAD: titans: any fan of the first titanfall will initially be a bit disappointed in their titan at first. For one, they are a bit weaker. With the grappling hook, and new rodeo style of the titans, pilots can do way more damage to titans, more quickly than titanfall 1. They removed the auto charging shields and removed the "doomed titan" timer. I'm not sure if I love the trade off. It is also much harder to kill pilots who are indoors and behind cover than it was in titanfall 1. There are practically 0 anti infantry abilities. That being said, the fact that a bit more skill is required to rampage in a titan isn't all bad. Weapons: Like the first there isn't a lot of weapon variety, and because of the size of the maps, close range weapons like shotguns and sub machine guns are kind of useless. Even though I try to branch out with new weapons I find my self using only assault rifles, and notice that most of the best players do the same. The energy weapons especially suck. They are wildly inaccurate and are difficult to use at any substantial range. They also removed the auto pistol (or too drunk to aim gun) from the primary weapons and instead made it a power up.(gay) And finally, MAPS: With titanfall 1, any surface you could reach you could scout/snipe from. With titanfall 2 A LOT of high ledges and building tops are "out of bounds". This actually kind of blows, especially for those of us used to the openness of titanfall 1. All in all, great ass game, the bad doesn't even scratch the surface of all the good this game has to offer. Beautiful levels, sick combat, COD can suck a big one. The future is titanfall!
