Best of the series, but not perfect

On the basis of game play alone this game is hands down better then previous. One of the main (and most addictive) improvement is the tournament challenge mode where you perform famous PGA moments as well as take on the pro's in events outside of a full 18 hole round. This helps you to obtain better equipment and get some practice in to develop your character which I found useful to aid the early stages of my tour season.

Other benefits such as live weather and the ability to import facial photos to develop a better likeness to your own help to bring a heightened sense of realism to the game. Other perks such as the precision putting mode make it more accessible to gauge putts, which when mastered is much more satisfying.

The only major upset I found with this game is the fact you can buy everything you can earn through playing the game from the PlaystationStore. The best clubs, max ability shirt, courses, all the things that if you really got hooked on the game and strive for perfection on make the process meaningless! To my knowledge EA haven't done a similar thing with Fight Night Round 4 so what drove them to do it with this game I don't know.

To sum it all up, worth a 9/9.5 but shameful post-purchase sales tactics ruin the gaming experience as a whole and so it gets an 8
