Much better then TDP and a fantastic game.
Nothing=They can't see you
Yellow= if they see you they will starting looking for you but wont think your a Thief
Red= If they see you they know you are a Thief instantly.
One more thing about the premise of the game. You only have 3 weapons. A Blackjack that knocks out enemies if they are unaware of you presence. A sword... self explanatory. Finally the most useful, the bow, now this bow does carry the simple lethal arrows but also water arrows that douse torches so you can slip by undetected. Moss arrows which if you shoot at the floor it will release moss so your footsteps are silent. Fire arrows... they kill people.Rope arrows which if shot into wood surfaces releases a rope to climb. Finally gas arrows which knock out guards with one arrow. One thing is that the fire arrow and gas arrow don't take effect from gravity so it doesn't arc. Now for whats new to Thief 2. First of all the levels are much better designed this time around and much bigger. The best level to describe this is probably "Life of the Party" where you must go across the cities rooftops or "Thieves Highway" to a cathedral that's 6 floors. Then when you finish your objectives you go back across the city. Not only are there many paths to take to get to your destination many of the buildings have patrolling guards with money and goods in them. Anyway I don't wanna say too much about that level but it's good. The story in Thief 2 is very good. Might not be as good as Thief: TDP but it is good on it's own merits considering first person games don't have that good of story's other then this guy did something to you so you wanna kill him. While Thief 2 has a great and involving story that doesn't stop coming. By that I mean that even though you might be playing a mission you might hear conversations concerning the story or other peoples problems due to what's happening. Now the graphics might not look good by today's standards that means that most comps would be able to run it today without it lagging. You can't have lag in this game or else you could be seen or even die. Finally there are a few new gadgets in this game but aren't very useful like the vine arrow which is like a rope arrow but it can go into metal now. Well I could keep going but otherwise this review would be huge so if you see this game and you like the idea of stealth get it. But play the demo first to see if you like the Idea.
