This game has it all: mechanics that are intuitive and responsive, music thats memorable, creative, and evocative, and a storyline that has engaging characters you actually care enough about to create separate save files just to see how in-game choices affect outcomes. Especially Ciri (who deserves her own game). The addition of jumping puts this game lightyears ahead of its predecessor. The crafting is done perfectly; not to imposing, yet simple enough. Finding the alchemy recipes adds a huge dynamic to the game but unlike other games, has a tangible and lasting objectives beyond just one ending.
Graphics are at the top of what is out there today. Especially if you have PS4 Pro and a 4K HDR TV. The action is great because you can set the difficulty for a newcomer, and when you've beaten the game once on normal or gotten the hang of it, go to hard or very hard. The DLCs are also worth it. If you like RPGs but want a fast, non-turn based game, and are looking for a different experience than Dark Souls, Witcher 3 is the game for you.
