Great but not what it should be.

The game is a vast open world with multiple missions and side quests to get lost in. However the combat was lacking as it seemed to be the same dodge and strike method over and over again with very little variation to how you fight the different beasts. One thing it did well was mix the difficulties of the beasts so you aren't always fighting close to your level and sometimes can strategize a dodge and strike movement. The overall missions seemed to hinge on the same few things; fight this monster to help the citizens, find an object, or go to this location for a clue. In the beginning it was fun but as you progress it got dull. The Card game "Gwent" actually was surprisingly good. It got me into wanting to search for cards and find new ones to build better decks and continue to strategize that way. All in all it is worth at minimum a play thru. But it would definitely wet the appetite for gamers who enjoy longer single player games.
