Great humor and parodies but frustrating camera & platforming mechanics sinks this game to mediocrity.

User Rating: 7 | The Simpsons Game PS2
If only this game would have a better camera and less "iffy" controls it would of made it so much better. In this game you'll be platforming in 16 levels of good laughs visiting Springfield's finest locations and meet up with a lot of the Simpsons's cast. This is great but the controls can be frustrating and you will constantly manually move the camera so you can get a good view of what's going on. I remember doing this in some 3D platforming game for the N64... in 2007 this is not acceptable.

The graphics are decent on the PS2 but I wished they would of used some sort of Anti-Aliasing. At least the animations and framerate holds up really well.

The sound is fantastic and the cut scenes are exactly like the TV show and all of the voice overs are done by the real actors.

Simspons fans should check this game out because it has a lot of good concepts and there's cool parodies of popular video games which is nice. The game is somewhat easy once you learn what you need to do. Dying (which most of the time is due by the controls or camera view) is simply an after taught since you respawn just a few steps from where you were.
